Reviews and Complaints
Very poor results, poor customer service
We are a small business. We were told by the sales person that we would have access for hundreds of leads, and we had to sign a one year contract.
After several months, and no relevant leads we tried to cancel.
They refused to cancel and we had to pay $107.25 a month for nothing until the end of our contract.
The leads provided are scant and not relevant for small businesses. If this is you, don't waste your time with this company.
- False advertising
No longer relevant
We have had the problems others have had. paid a lot of money and very few if any real leads.
The talk a good game and promises everything - but they have POOR leads. Most public in my area and I told them I do not do public work - only private.
This company at one time had a good reputation - not any more - they just want your money. Not worth the money. And the kept billing me after I cancelled.
We want our money back.
We have a construction management business and we were screwed over. We're in Los Angeles and Orange country and you would expect a lot of leads - nope.
Don't bother with the jokers - read all the quotes here. they need train their people better.

Happy Blue Book Customer
Been a member of the Blue Book Network for over 15 years...90% of my business comes from the contacts I've made by being a member of this network. The calls and direct emails I receive from GC's, owners, facility managers of commercial buildings are the best!
Yes, I look at the leads in their lead program a couple times a week and respond to only those I feel are a good fit from my business. The bottom line the majority of my work comes from a phone call I get from an estimator, or owner (be it a church, school, apartment complex or a corporate building) in need of my trade...these are the golden nuggets I want and have allowed me to grow my business.
Blue Book Network has been a great investment....if you're looking to grow your business check them out!
No help ever, canceled an was still charged
They only want your money, they will not help you. Never once did i get a job from them.
They sold me on that everyone needed my service and i would make a killing, that never happened. They never had work in my catagory.
I tried to cancelled after 6 months and now they put my remaining balance in collections $945 I'm pretty freaking pissed
Don't Waist your Money !
We bided on multiple of proposals, never got awarded one. You have no ability to engage with contractors, therefore your bid just becomes 1 out of 3 for contractors to show their preferred vendor. Meanwhile, all your time is being consumed preparing proposals that you will never win.
They obviously don't require GC's to award a minimum percent of bids to bluebook subscribers, which is why the system is flawed an ineffective.
After a year of wasting our time and money over $8-10,000 just in subscription fees, we tried to cancel, they would not cancel our subscription.
Now, we just received a collection letter from their lawyers. We plan on taking this to court, in hopes that no other companies just trying to grow end up getting scammed by a system that DOES NOT WORK!

Harassment
Repeated calls to my very busy Estimator, followed by emails saying they wanted to "drop by". I emailed back and notified the sender (Geoff Turner) to remove our company from their email list and put us on the Do Not Contact list. He replied back with a nasty email saying "couldn't" do both, which is an illegal statement. Companies are REQUIRED to remove you from their call list if they are perceived as being harassed. Here's the email for your own judgment:
"I am monumentally confused at your reply.
When you say “not interested”, do you mean you’ve stopped doing private, commercial work? I’m asking, because I specifically remember our initial conversation revolving around that exact desire for your company.
Secondly, I don’t remember ever having a discussion about pricing, or about the full gamut of what we do for our contractors, so I would think it’s tough to gauge true interest without having all the cards on the table.
Someone from your company updated your listing requests on our website, which is why I emailed Brian yesterday, as his name was the one on the request.
As for being placed on a “do not call list“, there is no such thing with us. Any company who agrees to a free listing in our network also agrees to receive occasional emails from us. " ***

The “Grifter” Bluebook Constriction Network
As customer since 2009, and four State coverage contractor, all I can say is that these folks are absolute Grifters.
We fulfilled our last 2 year agreement for 2016/2017. Now we are getting billed and sent to collections for 2018/2019? When I contacted the local 1099 contractor sales agent, Tony Birdwell to ask why we are getting charged for another 2 year commitment, he sent me a bogus email from February of 2017. I guess if they send you an email on their commitment form with no signature that locks you in?
We have spent over $17,000.00 to be part of their program with zero return on investment. We have actually lost money with a the other contractors we partnered with that still owe us...
Just a pitiful marketing company that’s about as legit as the Yellow Book.
We have the Michigan Attorney General investigators looking at these for folks pretty for fraudulent business practices.

Blue Book Network is a scam
Dan Bryant is a sales person at Blue Book who scammed me. The fact that I am an educated individual it pains be that I got taken by such a scheme.
He faked a contract that he claims I agreed to. I’m on the hook for 24 months in the amount $125.95 monthly. I actually never signed anything and what he was offering and promised never mentioned the amount stated above. Since he told me I would get leads and other things by giving him $1 to start and charged $30 monthly I agreed.
Never informed me that I would be under obligation to stay 24 months and at no time was I informed that my fee would ever be $125.95. I have submitted multiple bids never won a single bid.
Blue Book Network is a pyramid scheme that needs investigated by the federal government. I will not stop until they are held accountable for the sales people they employ.
Waste of time and money for sure
I got hit up by this guy Dan Weaver (Business development consultant/ employee owner)....Begged me to come up with some time to listen to his speech, so I did being a nice guy and all. Guaranteed to boost my business, which who can turn down.?
If I didn't like it don't continue, however some of the biggest guys around have been with them for over 15 years...ok got me thinking now. All the bid sites I use if I use are free but a damn near money back guarantee who can go wrong... In the 4 months I paid attention to this site I found nothing but false referrals and ads. After more time than I should have taken from real jobs and clients, I asked to be removed from the site and not contacted again.
However I still got weekly or more emails with referrals and "jobs" needing quotes. Again asked to not be contacted again, then after about a year i get a bill for $1284 for my subscription, email the owner employee, no response so I let it go... Now getting threats of being sued... Called their number and tried to talk to the customer success representative and was told I am in a contract (not what I signed up for but go-ahead) and have no choice but to pay or be sued....?
Really..? My response was enjoy, I would love to get in front of a judge an share how bad these people lied, with the emails to back it all up....
My advice steer clear of this clown show at all costs... Your business deserves better.

Bogus company providing bogus information
This phone number 845208**** began calling me regularly a few months ago. 'Jeff Solomon' was requesting access to information regarding open solicitations for construction projects we are currently bidding.
On one particular day, he called me 5 times in two hours. When I picked up the fourth and fifth times, he hung up on me.
When I called back and got his voicemail, I requested to be removed from him call list.
Our organization does NOT provide this information to outside parties and he is wasting everyone's time. Furthermore, the information for these projects listed on their website is inaccurate so any contractors using it would be completely futile.

Very poor experience
Bidded on numerous projects and did not receive one solicitation for a proposal. Was shown a lot of shiny possibilities but nothing materialized. Did not have one colleague or associate who had a positive experience winning a contract.
Frankly this appears to be nothing more than smoke and mirrors. I would advise small businesses seeking to grow to stay away from this company. Companies posing as general contractors were not.
Some even had predetermined sub contractors lined up ever though the were still requesting bids.Several associates had advised that I stayed away from this company as they were not who they made themselves out to be. In the end got left with a whopping bill of $1700.00 dollars.

SAME RESULT AS ALL THE REST
I was told how many leads I was going to get. The sales person was fully aware of what my line of trade is, Residential.
I was told I would get 40-50 residential leads each month. The leads I get are all commercial. When I bid on the few jobs that were in my line of trade, the contractors placing the bids did not even look at my bid. I spent several hours bidding one job and dropped it by in person to the contractor.
They explained that they had no interest in my trade, because they did it in-house.
I did not know this was a 2 year commitment. I wanted to cancel and It took three months to finally speak to someone. They explained I had no option out.
Don't advertise with this company. All the bull about the oldest and best out there is just a lie.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
Worst SCAM EVER
This Company is just like the others. We have in business 40 years ,The guy who called my Company promised me , we were going to receive lots of leads, it never happened, just like so many others.
I never received a single one. it is been a year and we have not received even one. ... But this is not all, I have to paid the second year because they don't let you cancel the contract threatening you with the collection agency.
I wish I have had read the reviews before getting involved with this Scammers.
I wish other people don't get screwed. It seems like the representatives don't last in this company more than six months, when you call them to complain, they are gone.
Great experience
I am really surprised to read all of these negative reviews. I’ve had a great experience with the bluebook.
My company has benefited from the exposure, my rep is extremely hands-on and I have won multiple projects because of it. I feel like I get some serious bang for my buck especially considering everything that comes with my program.
Crap!! Never any leads
Joined for 3 years, always promised by salesman of good returns. Never happened. STAY AWAY!!
