These are your corrected sentences:

Invitations for bids are automatically generated. There have been zero jobs in my job description.

The bidding process is complicated and needs experience to bid properly. There is no response when vocal about issues.

Cancellation is not allowed. They are making money from small business owners by making promises that they do not fulfill.

Cancellation, network

First of all, you guys gave me one month free, which I didn't recognize. I didn't receive any phone calls from you.

I have a service with you but I didn't agree to receive any job from you, especially bills. I'm not supposed to pay, especially when it was supposed to be a free month to check if I want to work with you guys. But as I said, I never received any phone calls from you to continue to the next month. I don't want this service and would like it to be closed.

If not, we’ll meet in court.

Thank you. Please advise.

I'm hoping this gets to you in time to read!

As general contractors, we operate in Bakersfield, California.

Over the course of the previous four years, we have expanded into the commercial sector after starting out in the residential sector during our fifteen years in business.

Having said that, we desired to network our name and promote ourselves, and sign on new business

The deal we signed with The Blue Book, also known as Dodge Construction Network, was a poor choice on our part. What a huge money pit it has become.

Their webpage lacks any worthwhile content and customer service.

Run as quickly as you can if you encounter them.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

There was no way to sort through their lead generation to get to our scope of work only. Their two year commitment is a joke.

Don't sign anything because they tell you will be getting a certain type of leads that you NEVER get.

Our sales person Diane W did not want to even discuss our issues because it was too late in the day and per her exact words "I need to be with my family"Customer Success said that she could get us out of our contract and Diane W said Customer Success can get us out of the contract. Nobody will take accountability for their shortcomings within this company.

The Scam Book Network. Would trust Jerry Springer more to connect me with clients.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Would Rather burn the 2800 dollars than give them a penny. They falsified a contract and used a blatantly false signature to Rob me of 2800 dollars of a service I never used. Take the epitome of *** and multiply it by 20 and thats their sales team.

Hey Guys. Im going through the same thing you are all going through. Im declaring their transactions were fraudulent. They spoke with a person of my company who just thought it was a single payment. The person never authorized to do this. After 2 years of not realizing that this was a recurring payment and mistaking it for something else, I was pissed. Heres the kicker, the signature was not from the person who supposedly signed it. I know the signatures in my office and they did a horrible job foraging one. Then asked the certifying contractor if he would like some different jobs and doubled the monthly payment without our consent. Hes not even in management It looked like it was forged by a 3 year old. Im gathering up all the evidence and will present it to the courts and the DBPR. If anyone else wants to give me some legal ammo please get in touch with me. Im already getting with lawyers and looking into "abuse of the elderly" and multiple counts of fraud.

Im thinking about getting some stories and testimonies together and send them to the main bank branches along with the BBB. I also have some friends that are newscasters that have taken an interest in bad reputation of this company. Im also thinking Ron De Santis should get a copy of your complaints. He has penalized companies for way less.

Im free to talk and email whenever. Anyway, i can help anybody just reply and and we can exchange info.

This company will pay for their lies and scams... The longer this goes on the more motivated I will become.

These losers need to come to justice.

Whose with me?

Bad Business Practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Stay away - They are the worst bait and switch company out there. Their ad/listing reps will use deceptive practices to lock you into long term agreements and promise the world of increased business.

We were a customer for almost 2 years and when a different rep came into our business to change the categories on our listing for better results that turned into a contract renewal with an additional $100 per month for another 2 years. Why in the world would someone renew a contract in July 2021 when it is set to end in December 2021. This company has absolutely no integrity and it is very shameful for them to say we are providing a service to help business grow but yet they provide absolutely no ROI what's so ever.

Their 2 year contract terms are a huge red flag and if this was such a great company why do you need to be deceptive and lock people into 2 year agreements. Stop taking advantage of small businesses and have some integrity Blue Book.

Signed my business up during COVID-19 to help spur some business. Blue Book was great and waived the first couple months to help out with COVID-19.

I had to lock into a 24 month contract for $240 a month which I thought was fine as long as they produced jobs in West Michigan. So far I have landed $0 jobs and have only been able to quote a couple in West Michigan as all the jobs that become available are on the east side of the state where we do not work. On top of that the rep in Detroit on the east side used to send me all of these jobs for free on the east side, trying to gain my business.

Now there is no cancellation policy, and I am stuck spending $240 a month for basically nothing. I would avoid in West Michigan area at all costs.

Misrepresentation of service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We received an e-mail request for a local project over a year ago. In the e-mail was a project we were interested in so we responded to the e-mail.

Before we realized it was a scam e-mail there was a salesman from Blue book e-mailing us stating in order to bid on this project we need an account with them. We are a small General contractor in business for 38 years and had used the Blue Book Publications, provided at no cost to us through the years to find sub contractors, so we were aware of the brand. The salesman set up a meeting with us and claimed there were many projects that fit our requirements as a luxury home builder. We took his word for it and signed up with one of the more expensive programs because we were told if we selected the less expensive ones, we would not get any activity. Because this was a brand I was aware of I made the mistake of not preforming any due diligence on this company.

Shortly after that, we were contacted and told there would be a meet and greet networking event with Blue Book subcontractors enrolled in their network, we did not request this as we are an established firm with a large stable of subcontractors.

We did not attend as we signed up for General contractor opportunities, not a networking group to provide work for the

contractors they had signed up.

The salesman then communicated how important it was to be featured in their publication, he was pressuring us to get in fast because there was only a limited amount of openings, we declined and that was when we suspected Blue Books sales were more important to them than the success of their customers.

We checked the site often, all of the private projects we had indicated to the salesman we were seeking were listed as "in design There were none in the bidding phase. When we reached out to the sales person questioning this, we were told we were not using the system correctly, or

we should be contacting the principles of the projects listed, which we did with no positive result. We signed up for this service so we wouldn't have to do cold calls.

The original salesman took offense to this we guess, as we continued to complain another salesman started replying to our e-mails and the original salesman, who assured us he was servicing our account disappeared. After continuing to complain the second salesman sent us a request for proposal for a private firm in a neighboring state who they were well aware we did not hold a license in.

In over a year there has been one project we were able to bid on, the project was so over advertised by Blue Book there were over 2 dozen bidders.

There have been constant requests through Blue Book for sub contract bids from a third party in an area we are not licensed in as well.

There have been zero requests for bids that match our licensed region

in non union work.

We grew tired of being told we were the problem from their salesmen

and sent the terms of use to our company attorneys.

In these terms Blue Book states each legal action must be individual, however speaking to the New York Attorney Generals office there is a strong possibility of a class action suit if there are many impacted as we have been. We continue to pay our monthly fee of 900.00 per month and have asked both salesmen to close our account with no success.

Complete misrepresentation of promised services

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I happened upon The Blue Book when I received a sham e-mail on our company account for a request for proposal for a local project. After trying replying to this RFP, I was contacted by Blue Book via e-mail stating my firm needed to "join" the Blue Book Network in order to bid.We replied we were interested in their service and they sent a salesman to whom told of the successes of their network.

I have been in Business for 38 years and had used the original free Blue Book to find subcontractors in the past. The original Blue Book was a catalog of contractors akin to a phone book, we had been listed it it for years and the listing was free. Having used the Blue Book for years, as it was always sent to us for free I trusted the brand. I feel rather foolish as I did not do my due diligence on their present "Online" referral service.

The salesman set up a meeting and promised we would be well served using their service for custom homes, our core business, and other small non union projects where we hold valid licenses.

He was eager to close the deal on the spot and I fell for it based on my brand awareness.I was told I needed to purchase the most expensive

program to make sure our firm was listed near the top, as those who purchased the the less expensive program were not likely to get any calls.

As soon as we were enrolled the sales person set up a meet and greet with sub-contractors who are also enrolled in their network for them to meet my firm. As mentioned above, we have been in business for 38 years and enrolled to make new connections with principles of parties that need General Contractors, not network so the subcontractors in their network can benefit from my firm joining the network. I did not attend this meet and greet as there was no benefit in doing so.

The next pitch from the salesman was getting "Featured" in their publication, I was getting the idea early on they were more concerned about their sales than mine, I refused that offer as well even though the salesman kept calling us and stating there were only a few openings left.

We started using the website and 99% of the listings were listed as in design. We e-mailed a few of the principal parties with no return communications.

Much of the RFP's we were receiving were for subcontract work. We are a GC. I started to complain to my assigned salesman and before I knew it another salesman was assigned to my account. Whenever I made a complaint, it was always my fault, I was told I was not using their system correctly, I wasn't calling on the principals an on and on.

If I had wanted to do cold calls, I would not have enrolled in their services. Lately we have requested to close our account, there was no response until we stated we had requested a review by the New York Attorney General. The response was for the new salesman to send me a RFP for a jurisdiction I have no license in for commercial work. We were very specific about where and what we are licensed for and most of the projects we are not licensed for.

Our attorneys have read the terms of use for

this company and Blue Book states each legal action must be individual. We feel there is an opening for a class action lawsuit as this service is so over sold that there are many firms finding themselves in the same place as us.

Need your advice of getting out of "future contract" from September 2020 to September 2022

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Hello everyone,

I read through all your comments, and I can totally relate to your situation. Back in June, 2019 Ms.

Shanel Mollica from the Blue Book reached out to us multiple times, and she illustrated all the benefits we would receive if we signed up with BB. We finally signed a one-year contract with her in September of 2019, so we are still actively involved with BB until 9, 2020.

In March 26 of 2020, Ms. Mollica contacted me due to the slowdown of the Covid-19, and she offered an additional service to our company WITHOUT charge for the next night months. However, the document she emailed to me had a two-year-term (9/2020 to 9/2022), so I emailed her back to request for explanation.

Rather than emailing me back, she CALLED me to explain that two years was only for documentation if I wanted the free additional service. Besides, I can cancel the additional service anytime I wanted to as long as it's before September 1, 2020.

Due to the pandemic, our work has really slowed, and we wanted to control our expenses; so we reached out to her on Monday (5/22/2020) to notify her that we will not continue our membership with the Blue Book after August of 2020. Ms. Mollica didnt call me back, but texted me a note indicated that I must continue TWO MORE YEARS with the Blue Book since I signed with her back in March 26.

She also requested that we call the corporate if we wanted to resolve this situation. I immediately called BB corporation in New York, and they said only Ms. Mollica can cancel my future contract. After I read these posts, I noticed that the BB company uses this tactic with all their customers.

I emailed to Ms.

Mollica that we will pay the remaining balance of our one-year-term contract for an amount of $690 ($230/month), and we even willing to cut our current contract early as of today; so her company will profit 3 months without sending any leads to us. The only one thing we are requesting is to CANCEL our future contract with the Blue Book. Her respond was she cannot terminate the contract now, but she can decide into it in September.

After reading all these complaints, I see a dishonest pattern from the Blue Book representatives because they dont keep their promise.

I DO NOT want to wait until September to get her blessing, but I want to proactively find legitimate routes to get out of my future contract. Therefore, I am reaching out to you, whom have dealt with the Blue Book in the past, and hope to learn some wisdom from you.

Thank you in advance and hope to learn much from you

FYI, our company is operating out of Garden Grove (Orange County), California
